Our Team
Led by Alex Holton, we are a team of six that serve clients, landlords, and investors. Collectively, we have overseen hundreds of projects and billions in managed cost in our cumulative 60+ years in commercial real estate, design, and construction.
The Canopy team has experience in all areas of the market, from building system improvements and spec suites for Landlords, large scale biotech and manufacturing facilities, to Tenant Improvements of varying size and complexity. We pride ourselves on finding creative solutions to complicated problems and saving our clients time and money.
ALEX HOLTON, PRINCIPAL
Alex spent 16 years leading large project management teams at a top tier international real estate firm before branching off in 2019 to form Canopy Project Management, Inc. Alex has been on all sides of commercial real estate and has intricate knowledge of how all parties interact to deliver successful projects.
DOUG BARBERO, VICE PRESIDENT
Doug spent 20 years in commercial construction on the general contracting side of the business before coming to Canopy. Doug brings with him a tremendous amount of technical knowledge in all-things construction and behind the scenes knowledge of the general contracting world that results in real savings for Canopy’s clients.
Kira Courpet, Senior Project Manager
Kira has 15 years of experience in the design side of the commercial real estate world, having worked for renowned national architecture groups for most of her career. Kira is extremely detail oriented and excellent at driving the project process with a calm, but firm demeanor.
Adam WYNER, Senior Project Manager
Adam Wyner is an experienced project manager adept in project development, front-end planning, estimating, negotiation, stakeholder relations and construction management. Before joining Canopy, Adam served as a Development Manager at Ellis Partners and oversaw the development and construction of a $500M ground-up class A+ commercial office campus. Earlier in his career, he was a Project Manager for GCI General Contractors, where he specialized in challenging building repositioning commercial real estate projects. Adam holds bachelor and master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from UCLA and Columbia University, respectively. He is a licensed civil engineer in the State of California.
Surya Ramanathan, Project Manager
Surya has a BA in Architecture and worked on the general contracting side of the industry before spending the last few years at a large commercial real estate firm. He has extensive experience in Landlord Work, high-end tenant improvements, and financial service projects. Surya brings lots of energy and drive to his projects to keep everyone focused on our client’s goals.
